The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet this week with several items on its agenda for review and forwarding to the Town Council.
The commission will consider a recommendation on a condominium plat for a 64-unit complex proposed for a parcel within FireRock Country Club.
The concept plan and cut and fill waivers have been approved by council. The building plans are under review, however, the council needs to approve a condominium plat for the parcel. Condominiums are in conformance with the M-1 zoning on the site (Multi-family, condominiums or apartments).

The commission has three requests related to the installation of stealth communications equipment within the town.
Verizon Wireless is seeking a special use permit for construction of two stealth saguaro cell towers in an open space area off FireRock Country Club Drive. The request is for two 40-foot tall towers within 300 feet of residential property.
T-Mobile is asking for a special use permit to install a palm tree tower within the property of Vans Storage at Technology and Laser drives.
This request involves a 65-foot tower disguised as a palm tree along with the necessary ground equipment associated with the cellular transmission.
EPCOR Water is asking the town for a special use permit to install a 42-foot faux palm tree at a groundwater well site in Fountain Hills.
The well is located on the Desert Canyon Golf Course between Saguaro Boulevard and Indian Wells Drive between two golf fairways.
This tower is for radio communication between the well site and the water treatment plant.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet on Thursday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at Town Hall. The session is open to the public. There are public hearings involved with the special use permit requests.
