With a unanimous 7-0 vote, the Planning and Zoning Commission is recommending the Town Council approve an ordinance amendment requested by an attorney representing Phoenix Cannabis Company, the medical marijuana dispensary in Fountain Hills.
The application is requesting an increase in permitted operating hours, as well as allowing delivery service to customers. They are asking that the dispensary be permitted to operate between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., an additional four hours over the current 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Delivery service is permitted by the Arizona statute that allows the sale of medical marijuana. However, the town chose to prohibit delivery in its ordinance.
