The Planning and Zoning Commission wants help in developing regulations to govern telecommunications deployment in Fountain Hills.
At its March 11 meeting the commission heard Development Services Director John Wesley outline what has been drafted to date. He went into the meeting to update commission members and receive feedback on initial proposals. No hearing was scheduled, and no action was taken.
However, commission members said they had pages of questions about the proposal, and initially Commission Vice Chair Rick Watts asked that the discussion be postponed to allow further review. Watts said there are a lot of implications related to the ordinance and he said there was a lot of information missing from the ordinance as it relates to impacts on the public.
