Random thoughts on our current affairs:
Why is our federal government so quick to give out the much-hated “assault weapon” with large stocks of ammunition?
Why do they supply large capacity magazines if these magazines are so dangerous?
Why is our federal government willing to give these weapons to foreign groups they never identify, which are then distributed without a comprehensive background check?
Why do I have a gnawing feeling that those who get these weapons would never be able to pass any background check?
Surely our federal government knows these weapons are a danger to the community they give them to. If it is such a good idea, why not distribute them in Chicago?
What other weapons are distributed in the same manner? Does anyone know?
Are these new or used weapons? My guess is they are new. That may be why the supply of new weapons and ammunition is so limited to us ordinary folks.
When my son-in-law was deployed to Afghanistan, he was issued a used, but functional, assault weapon. If we insist on giving away these weapons, why not give the used ones to the foreign folks and give the new ones to our folks?
And finally:
If a red line cannot be crossed without us taking military action, can we not paint one on our southern border?
