Rabbi Lipskier weighs in on Israel attack

Chabad of Fountain Hills participates in statewide prayer event

In the wake of the recent terror attack in Israel that saw more than 1,000 Jews killed by Hamas militants, Chabad of Fountain Hills is hosting a unity and prayer rally Sunday, Oct. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the Chabad Edelman Jewish Center in Fountain Hills and simultaneously at other Chabad Centers statewide.

This event, entitled, “One Hour, One People,” is organized by the Chabad Centers in Arizona to bring the community together in prayer and serves as a strong statement of solidarity with the people of Israel amid an ongoing war.

At the time of the surprise attack, which occurred Saturday, Oct. 7, Rabbi Mendy Lipskier and his family of the Chabad of Fountain Hills were “off the grid” in observance of the holiday of Simchat Torah, a joyous holiday typically accompanied by dancing and singing to mark the conclusion of the annual readings of the Torah and the beginning of a new cycle.
