As usual the county Flood Control District rainfall monitoring stations nearest the McDowell Mountains recorded the greatest precipitation.
Hesperus Wash had received 1.18-inch while Cloudburst Wash recorded 1.02. The rain gauge at the water tank near the top of Golden Eagle received 1.06-inch. The fire station on Palisades Boulevard had received .83-inch and over an inch, 1.20, had fallen at McDowell Mountain Park.

At The Times office on Laser Drive a rain gauge collected 1.4-inch.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the area that includes Fountain Hills for possible wash flooding.
The rain is expected to continue on and off through Saturday.
