Living in a small town has been a wonderful experience for this big city gal but sometimes has its drawbacks!
When something happens that makes national news and gains international support, you know it has to be important!
The firing of a teacher with 24 years of distinguished service to our community, a teacher who is loved and praised by her quarter century of students, a teacher who dedicated her life to improve the quality of the future of our children...that’s news! But the shock of why she was fired is the saddest news for me!

I’ve read everything concerning this situation and I just can’t justify why the FHUSD Board (excluding Dr. C.T. Wright) would approve the firing of Pam Aister!
I believe that the board needs to reconsider immediately what they have done before this internationally supported situation grows into a monster that comes back to bite them!
Reinstate Pam Aister!
Born and raised in Harlem, New York, I will never understand prejudice...when I moved to this small town, I never thought that prejudice would rear its ugly head, especially by young children, a board of professionals and the parents of children who learned from someone to bully others based on the color of their skin!
What also concerns me is the message that was sent to all the teachers in the district, “devote 24 years of dedicated service in our community and you too may be fired for doing your job!”
We need to stand together to support Pam!
There is a support rally planned Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the School District office...please come out and support Pam Aister!
Elections are just a few short weeks away, please vote for Judy Rutkowski and Edith Stock for the board.
