“’When We Were The Voyage’ isn’t just a book,” Williamson explains. “It’s an unrelenting descent into the unknown - a story about what it means to be human, and what happens when we discover truths we’re not prepared to face.”
At its core, the story follows humanity’s encounter with unimaginable forces in the depths of space. Through existential terror and cosmic dread, the narrative explores themes of identity, survival and the fragile veneer of what we call reality.

What sets “When We Were The Voyage” apart is its innovative approach to storytelling, the release said.
Readers aren’t just passive observers - they’re part of the story. Through interactive tiers on Kickstarter, backers can see their names immortalized in the book’s narrative or even become key characters in its cosmic horror-scape.
“Reader immersion is at the heart of this project,” says Williamson. “It’s designed to make you feel like you’re not just holding the book - you’re part of it.”
This passion project has been two years in the making, driven by Williamson’s obsession to push the boundaries of indie storytelling.
By launching on Kickstarter, “When We Were The Voyage” invites backers to be part of the creative journey while directly supporting independent publishing.
