Once upon a time, the son of a former president nearly ruined our country.

This is the true story of that ill-fated history. The son had a checkered past which was largely kept from the public. Not that that would have made much difference to the lemming electorate. Despite his C average at Yale and his DUI history, failed business ventures and political contests, he was elected to be the 43rd President of the USA.

After the attack on 9/11/2001, he promptly engaged the country in two unfunded wars and duped the electorate and our leaders into believing that Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction.” This proved to be a fabrication, but we are still engaged in those wars and put the country in a monetary black hole of some $2.2 trillion and cost some 190,000 lives.

Unbelievably, he was reelected by the misinformed electorate and the Supreme Court’s inserting itself in a Florida recount election over which they had no jurisdiction.

He continued to mismanage the country during Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, advising the inept FEMA director, “You’re doing a good job Brownie.”

Thankfully after serving eight years in a position for which he could not handle, the reins were turned over to “the man who would be king.” Under his leadership, the country is once again flourishing, despite the fact he has had to deal with a recalcitrant Congress.

Another election is going to take place in 2016. Will the electorate have learned anything from the past 16 years? I doubt it. You cannot straighten a crooked tree or improve a dust bunny IQ.
