Three years ago, when I arrived in Fountain Hills, I was dismayed to discover our esteemed trash/recycler company not only charged a fee for recycle items, [but also] expected the customer to separate and bag certain items while they sold these goods for additional profit.
I pay them, do all the work and they get all the money?

A couple years ago, our Town Council negotiated a “points” program with a different “big profitable trash/recycle corporation.” Somehow, I feel such “points” have been scammed into this “contract” without a single dollar out of “big profitable company’s” bottom line.
Points accumulated -- choices to make -- now threats and bullying in the latest communications. The “boss company” says turn in those points or lose them!
I don’t want points, choices to make, goodies, gifts or bullying. I want a fair share of the recycle profits. My previous recycle company subtracted $5 per month ($15 quarterly) if you put your recycle container out one time or every week, and did not have an additional fee added to your billing.
I’ve never used my big bully corporation recycle container and will not until the money discount is addressed. The bottom line is what families need money, not points for recycling and continued points updating programs.
All that information you keep sending is added to my garbage container.
I think my tan container with that shiny blue lid, looking brand new, enjoys sitting in that corner until I get the respect of participating and receiving something (money) for my recycle efforts. Until then, I’m not participating.
