Early ballots will hit the mailbox the very next day so, by the end of next week, many residents will already have the ability to cast their vote.
By now, you should have received the “2018 General Election Publicity Pamphlet” in the mail, with much of the information you’ll need to prepare for the Nov. 6 election. There’s a lot to consider, which is why it’s a good idea to spend the next month conducting your own research into the seats and propositions up for a vote. Locally, we’ve also got a school board election featuring four candidates who have all participated in a Q&A series over the past four issues of The Times.
Another date you’ll want to mark on your calendar is Oct. 31. If you’re submitting an early ballot and want to mail it back rather than drop it off at a polling location, that’s when you’ll need to have it postmarked.
