Everything regarding pirates will be the theme of Mr. J’s Weekend Camp Experience Feb. 12-14 at Christ’s Church, 15555 Bainbridge Ave.

What in the world do pirates have to do with teaching children about Jesus?

Pre-schoolers to sixth grade youngsters should “batten the hatches” and learn that Jesus can be the captain of their lives. Younger children can attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The camp experience will begin at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, and last until 8 p.m.

The Saturday, Feb. 13, session will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes lunch.

The entire family is invited to attend the final program from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 14. Everyone is encouraged to wear pirate gear and attend lunch after the service until 1 p.m.

The cost is $20 per camper or a maximum of $60 for a family.
