If Obama really wants to give America a raise, then he should talk about razing regulations rather than raising the minimum wage. Regulations are taxes by other means, rather than take money to accomplish its goals, government orders businesses to spend their money.
If we are to succeed in creating a more competitive economy, we must reform our regulatory system so that manufacturers can innovate and make better products, instead of spending hours and resources complying with inefficient, duplicative and unnecessary burdensome regulations.
Consider a full-time employee paid $10.10 minimum wage currently advocated by Obama would earn just over $20,000 annually, but small manufacturing firms with fewer than 50 employees National Association of Manufacturers reports regulatory costs $34,671 per worker, and that’s before state, local and federal tax collectors’ take.

Not surprising small entrepreneurs hesitate opening in the first place.
Electric companies are spending billions for EPA requirements upgrading pollution controls plus million on fines from previous Clear Air Act violations of sulfur oxide releases from coal-fired plants, how can measurements be correct if volcanoes spew same into atmosphere, like Alaskan volcano has for months now?
There’s no accountability where settlement monies are directed.
Bureau of Land Management spent $800,000 on gift cards. Federally-funded Job Corps through Dept. of Labor is lawless, permeated with cheating and lies, is corrupt. Billions wasted on irresponsible supposed studies, etc. Instead use funds on crumbling roads and bridges.
Regulations plus unnecessary spending becomes taxation for all working-class citizens.
Our Founding Fathers would be shocked how corrupt our bloated, lawless government has become.
