Enough already!

These local religious wars are getting out of hand.

I have known Christ’s Church Pastor Don Lawrence for almost 25 years. He is a good friend and an outstanding community leader.

I don’t know Methodist Minister David Felten that well, but he also seems like a very decent human being.

I trust that both of these individuals are very sincere in their religious beliefs.

But our community is beginning to sound a lot like the Sunnis and the Shiites from the Middle East, arguing over relatively minor points of the same religion.

So here’s what we should do.

You supporters of Don Lawrence, go sit on that side of the room. The rest of you go sit on the other side. And stay there until you learn to play together without fighting.
