Responding to a misguided lecture on civility in Fountain Hills

OPINION — Here we go. Once again, I am moved to refute the inaccuracies in a Gregg Dudash letter.

Recently, under the guise of an inarguable value (civility) he took shots at ROT’s opponents. Gregg alleges that Jeff Tate, Catherine Mirick and Susan DeGennaro are running as an organized slate, not as independents. So what? Actually, they're not, but they share values like honesty, benevolence and transparency which align their positions.

Gregg is confused. “Independent” in a political campaign means not affiliated with a party. It doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't work together if they choose to do so. That's also exactly what their opponents are doing. All four of those are adherents to the ROT agenda, which has reversed town progress and made Fountain Hills undesirable for prospective residents; they see the slanderous orange signs that are strategically placed next to those of Jeff, Catherine and Susan to try to discredit them.
