Richard Buhl

Richard Gene Buhl, 77, of Fountain Hills, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015.

He was a longtime resident and business owner in Belleville, Ill. and was an Arizona resident since 1989. Richard was a highly successful entrepreneur in the auto, restaurant and water park industries.

He was a great father who had a very generous spirit and a big heart. He had a passion for his hobbies, which included lapidary and playing poker with his beloved wife, Alice.

Richard is survived by his wife and business partner of more than 50 years, Alice Buhl; children Kim Buhl, Bill Buhl (Cheryl), Kathy Buhl-Burks (Tim), Gina Buhl and Richard Buhl II.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister Dian Walker-Sharos and uncle Buck Buhl.

His children Bruce, Karen, grandson Aaron and sister Nancy Wohlgemuth preceded Richard in death. He will be dearly missed.
