Richard Lewis Melton: Nov. 13, 1934 – Dec. 8, 2014. A resident of Fountain Hills for 36 years, Richard (Rick) was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated from Queens College. He worked in the banking industry as branch manager overseeing multiple locations in New York and Phoenix.
He was an only child born to the late Francis and Lewis Melton and was the beloved husband of Annette Melton for more than 58 years. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Celeste Cochran.
Rick will forever be remembered by his loving wife, Annette; beloved children, Lisa Hoppe, Guy Melton, Lori Wade and Wayne Melton; treasured grandchildren, Sarah and Tracy Cochran, Joelle Smyth, Emily, Ben and Jacob Hoppe, Madison, Cassie, Hailey and Austin Wade, and Cole and Cody Melton; three great-grandchildren in Texas; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Rick loved listening to music, played chess at a Master Level, enjoyed a good Western and loved having fun with his family and friends while spending time with his German Shepherds.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Private services were held for his family. He was interred on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.
