Voting again for one issue or non-issue matters, I’ve never lived somewhere when there were so many special or one-issue elections. The cost to taxpayers is enormous to mail out these ballots for a one-issue matter, and then to man the booths for a special election I imagine runs into hundreds of thousands of dollars.
It’s no wonder nobody trusts the local government with their tax dollars. Also the wording on the ballot was just ridiculous; so vague and open-ended no one in their right mind would hand over a blank check to town hall. Just ridiculous. Don’t they have an attorney on retainer to make sure that the issues are framed correctly for the citizens to vote on?

Let’s get new leadership and then we can address this issue in the future with more technical clarity to the financial issue we are voting on that will affect all of us who pay property taxes. These taxes are hard to take back once enacted.
We voted no in our household. If the town wants to grow their tax pie, consider bringing in non-retail, restaurant and hospitality businesses. We need to make sure we have sufficient industrial and office zoning in place to attract businesses that pay employees more than minimum wage, attract new homeowners and pay their property and sales taxes.
A good research/incubator park could put Fountains Hills on the map, attracting bio-research firms and educated business owners and employees looking for a good quality of life town.
