More is working than states’ rights and smart “alec” modifying laws in all states.
“Stand your ground” law, and other changes in historic “safe retreat laws,” presently being repealed or are already repealed in 22 states is being accomplished for a reason, a concern.
That concern is very real crime. In effect those changes have shifted the first line of defense in protecting our people. Instead of first responders, law enforcement and the National Guard, protection to some extent is now in the hands of ordinary citizens assaulted by crime, those who are physically attacked in 22 states.

Individual rights are not what is at stake. What is at stake in the highest degree is the right of the United States to survive. Everyone should do their best to understand, including pundits, and black or white so-called political leaders who have a demagogic streak. When people put this country first, as in President John F. Kennedy’s words “Ask not…,” harmony will be the watchword, otherwise the demagogic ones will sow discord, listen to their words and know them.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder should check his facts, blaming a “stand your ground law” for increased crime is pure nonsense, even if my indirect reference; i.e. to allude.
Long live this country, our republic, all of her people in aspiration, as best they can. God bless us, please.
