Dates for the 2024 L. Alan Cruikshank River of Time Museum & Exploration Center’s Yavapai Tours are Feb. 8 and 29, March 14 and 28 and April 11.

January dates are sold out and the remaining dates are filling fast.

Tours are presented in partnership with the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation (FMYN). This engaging and entertaining four-hour experience includes an interpretation of the FMYN history and culture as told by members of this tribe, the original residents of the lands which currently includes  the Town of Fountain Hills.

The tour kicks off at the River of Time, 12901 N. La Montana Drive. Participants are treated to a light breakfast and short tour of the River of Time and then board the bus to travel to the nearby FMYN.

Stops include the FMYN Cultural Center and the H’man Shaw pre-school.

The tour also features an interpreted drive through the cemetery and the pecan and citrus groves.

Participants will learn about the many industries that sustain the tribal members and explore the history of challenges overcome by these strong people.

Before returning to the River of Time, guests are treated to a full lunch at Ahnala Restaurant at the We-Ko-Pa Resort and Casino.

Tickets for the all-inclusive, four-hour experience are priced at $130 ($125 for River of Time members). A 15% discount in the River of Time Riverbanks Gift Shop is also included.

Tickets are on sale now for the entire season and can be purchased online at riveroftime.center, in person Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the River of Time or by phone at 480-837-2612.
