River of Time in Fountain Hills opens new exhibit Saturday

‘We Are Here Gallery’ pays homage to Desert Botanical Garden and its founder

The River of Time Museum & Exploration Center has announced the opening of its newest exhibit in the “We Are Here Gallery,” which pays tribute to the Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden and the volunteers who helped create it. 

The unveiling of “50 Years of Community Spirit” will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the River of Time Museum, 12901 N. La Montana Drive. The event will include snacks, soft drinks and children’s ac-tivities. Admission to the museum will be free that day in celebration of the exhibit’s launch.

Titled “50 Years of Community Spirit,” the exhibit celebrates the garden’s role in Fountain Hills’ 50-year history. Created in partnership with the Botanical Garden and the Sonoran Conservancy of Fountain Hills, the display features a video presentation, a founder’s tribute, a timeline highlighting the many volunteer groups that have kept the garden thriving.
