River of Time in Fountain Hills welcomes new executive director

Sherri Starkey takes on new leadership role

With soon-to-be former Executive Director Cherie Koss stepping down from her leadership post, the River of Time Museum board has chosen its new executive director to lead the museum into its next chapter.

Effective Feb. 1, Sherri Starkey will be the new executive director at the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the museum world.

Starkey has served as a board member for the Museum Association of Arizona (MAA) for over five years and has consulted for several museums throughout Arizona including the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve, the Maricopa County Justice Museum, the S’edav Va’aki Museum (formerly Pueblo Grande Museum) and the Tubac Presidio, to name a few.
