River of Time Museum’s Little Explorers series aims to entertain, educate youth in Fountain Hills

The River of Time Museum & Exploration Center in Fountain Hills is holding a monthly series for kids that aims to educate them on various topics while also keeping them engaged with fun activities.

Titled Little Explorers, the series occurs every month with the next one from 3-4 p.m. on Sept. 24 at the museum, 12901 N. La Montana Drive, according to the museum’s website.

“It’s geared toward children between the ages of four and six, who usually have their parents or caregivers come with them. The kids have a brief story read by one of our volunteers to them, and then they do a little song and some interactions with them regarding the story,” museum volunteer MJ Gallagher said. “From there, we do a little arts and crafts project that has something to do with the story, and then we take them into the museum to some piece or item there that relates to what they learned through the story and activity.”
