Robert E. Jeffrey went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at the age of 86.
Born in Kinde, Mich. and raised in Harbor Beach, Mich., he was a resident of Fountain Hills for many years.
He was married to Lois Jeffrey, née Riess, and dear father of Douglas (Joye) Jeffrey, Lynne (Daniel) Carmichael and Joel Jeffrey. Dear grandfather of Sarah, Aaron, Julie and Kelley. Dear great grandfather of Willamina, Peyton, Tallulah, Logan, Jacob, Nolan and Bennett.
He is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Dr. Kenneth) Steketee; brother, Charles Jeffrey; sister-in-law Ginger Jeffrey; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matilda and Ernest Jeffrey, and brother, Gerald Jeffrey.
He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
He loved his family, loved people and loved life, and his smile was contagious. He will be greatly missed.
