Robert James Moore was born on June 22, 1924 to Howard D. and Lydia (Weaver) Moore in Shamokin, Pa.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Nancy A. Taylor and Winifred E. Tranaas, along with seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandson.
He worked for the railroad as a clerk and retired from Amtrak after 41 years. He was also Justice of the Peace in West Fairview, Pa. for a time.
He was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Enola, Pa. and Church of the Ascension Catholic Church of Fountain Hills.
He was a member of Moose Lodge #107 and moved to Arizona in 1993. A funeral mass was held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Church of the Ascension Catholic Church. He was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pa.
