Roberta Wells

Roberta “Bobby” Dunlap Wells, at the age of 90 years, passed away at her home in Fountain Hills.

Roberta was born in Carthage, Ill., graduated from Monmouth, Ill. High School and Monmouth College with her teacher certification. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and PEO. She taught in Monmouth Grade School for over 20 years.

Upon retirement, she and her husband Bill moved to Rio Verde where she was active in the community, known as an avid golfer and stock trader.

She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by four sons; Mayor Bill Wells and his wife, Anne of Murray, K., Rob Wells and friend, Janis Durr of Asheville, N.C., Rand Wells of Glen Ellyn, Ill. and J.D. Wells of Rio Verde; and four grandchildren, Shannon, Tandy, Adam and McIver Wells.

A memorial will be planned and announced at a later date and will be held at Community Church of the Verdes in Arizona.
