Rolling out grass
Turf goes down on Avenue

A crew began rolling out sod for the new turf on Avenue of the Fountains Thursday morning.
The work began at the east end of the Avenue at Saguaro Boulevard and by mid-day much of the east side as far as the new plaza was completed.
Crews were also finishing water features and water was expected to be added to those within a day or so.
Low Mountain Construction had until Monday, Oct. 20, to complete the work but was delayed. The council granted them two days for weather related delays, but as of Wednesday they are completing the project with a daily penalty.
