Rooftop solar
Posted
Marsha Falco
I recently received notice through a visual record of what having solar on our roof for one month has done for the community.
The CO2 emission saved was 3,071.9 kg; equivalent trees planted, 173.74; and light bulbs powered, 13,499.62 for a day.
That is 6,758.18 pounds of CO2 emissions saved.
By supplanting all that electricity, less had to be generated and thus less NOx emitted from coal- fired smokestacks to create ground level ozone. With the number of “don’t breathe” days (also known as Health Advisory Days) increasing, why is there not more solar in Fountain Hills?
