ROT challenging petition rejection in Fountain Hills

PAC files suit in Superior Court

The committee Reclaim Our Town (ROT) has filed suit in Maricopa County Superior Court seeking to overturn the town’s rejection of referendum petitions related to the apartment complex proposed for Shea Boulevard at Technology Drive.

The referendum would place the zoning question approved by the council on a 4-3 vote, on the ballot for voters to decide in November.

ROT Chair Crystal Cavanaugh filed the claim naming 14 defendants including all Town Council members, town clerk and entities associated with the developers, Sandor Development, which owns the property and plaza that surrounds the Target store in Fountain Hills.
