October 28 is recognized as National First Responders in the United States, and it was the day the Rotary Club of Fountain Hills chose to recognize the “best of the best” police officers and firefighters serving five agencies within the lower Verde Valley region.
The Rotary Club hosted the recognition event at the Adero Scottsdale Resort in Fountain Hills and included Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office serving Fountain Hills and the unincorporated county areas, Fountain Hills Fire Department, Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Police and Fire departments and the Rio Verde Fire District.
Fountain Hills Councilmember Gayle Earle said on behalf of the Fountain Hills Town Council, “these are the people we trust at the most difficult moments of our lives. They provide comfort and reassurance to our community.”
