Russell William Kruzich

Russell “Russ” William Kruzich passed away Aug. 20, 2013 with his family at his side. He was born Oct. 16, 1956.

Russ battled chronic heart disease for several years. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a radioman aboard the USS Kileaua and was later stationed in San Diego. After his time in the Navy, Russ worked at Overnight Transportation as a claims manager.

He was the son of William and Marion Kruzich, who both preceded him in death as well as his older brother, Greg. He is survived by his younger sister, Sandra Szymusiak, of Fountain Hills; his younger brother, Gary Kruzich, of Hancock, Mich.; his niece, Nicole Auston, and her husband, Luke; and great nephews, William and Alexander; and his brother-in-law, Michael Szymusiak, of San Diego, Calif.

Russ would want to be remembered as someone who lived in the moment and never took life too seriously. He was unique and fun-loving. Russ was the kind of guy who would do anything for you; he would give you the shirt right off his back.
