So the town manager announced he is putting together a panel to discuss and recommend measures to enhance pedestrian safety in Fountain Hills.

Why does there have to be a panel or meeting to address the obvious solution to the now numerous fatalities of pedestrians? Where is the enforcement of the epidemic speeders who blatantly race in town? What repercussions do these people face other than a slap on the hand or a warning to slow down? Growing up in small town similar to Fountain Hills, the general population knew that laws were enforced and that there were consequences for driving over the speed limit. What about in Fountain Hills?

I have lived in Fountain Hills for less than two years and already know of at least two areas where pedestrians were run over and killed. Is this the town you want, and in a community with many elderly people? What has become of those who have no regard for others and their safety?
