Sally Elizabeth Eckert passed from this life at her home in Fountain Hills into the arms of Jesus Christ on Feb. 2, 2016. She had been a resident of Fountain Hills since 1987.
Sally was born in Cottonwood, Idaho on Dec. 19, 1951, to Wayne Goffe Eckert and Ruby Herdys Fugleberg. She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne, and brother, Dwight.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Eckert-Holdahl (Fountain Hills); daughter, Kari Eckert (Chicago, Ill.); siblings and their spouses, Rod and Renee Eckert (Cottonwood, Idaho), Keith and Mary Eckert and Lynn and Michael Fink (Fountain Hills); sister-in-law, Sharon Eckert (Lewiston, Idaho) and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Sally attended Boise State University, worked as a bank teller, dental assistant, nanny, waitress and housekeeper for many throughout the years. Her passions were sewing, cooking and decorating. She made many of her own clothes, as well as bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses for friends.
Sally always had a willing heart and hand to help cook, clean, decorate, wallpaper, paint – whatever was needed – and many of her favorite recipes have been handed down and treasured by those who knew her.
Sally will be missed in this life, but she is at peace and we look forward to the time we will all be together again.
“You have made known to me the path of life, You will fill me with joy in Your presence with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” – Psalms 16:11.
