The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Angel program is alive and well in Fountain Hills.
Many local banks have put up their trees and, in keeping with tradition, angels will be hung starting Monday, Dec. 1.
Each Christmas Angel comes with a child’s first name, clothing and shoe sizes, as well as desired toys. As each Angel is “adopted,” bank personnel log the information and keep track of when the gifts for the angel come back to the bank.

Salvation Army Christmas Angel program begins

The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Angel program is alive and well in Fountain Hills.
Many local banks have put up their trees and, in keeping with tradition, angels will be hung starting Monday, Dec. 1.
Each Christmas Angel comes with a child’s first name, clothing and shoe sizes, as well as desired toys. As each Angel is “adopted,” bank personnel log the information and keep track of when the gifts for the angel come back to the bank.
The deadline for gifts is Wednesday, Dec. 17. Presents are then delivered to McDowell Mountain Elementary School and picked up by Santa’s elves in time for Christmas.
The local Christmas Angel program grows each year as the citizens of Fountain Hills show their caring and generosity by making sure that every child gets to celebrate Christmas. This year, 85 angels are waiting to be adopted.
