The proposed commercial usage fees for specified heavier water users all increase by about 5 cents per $1,000 gallons.

Hotel, motel, B&B and assisted living facilities could see an increase from $11 to $11.25 per unit monthly.

District officials say that some improvement and replacement projects to the sanitary system have been deferred through the economic downturn. It is now necessary to proceed with several projects to maintain safety and meet environmental regulations.

The board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at the Sanitary District offices, 16941 E. Pepperwood Circle.
