ELECTION

Fountain Hills Sanitary District Director Tammy Bell will not be on November ballot

Is not seeking second term

The Fountain Hills Sanitary District will have an uncontested election for its board of directors in November, however, incumbent Director Tammy Bell will not be a candidate as The Times Independent reported earlier that she would be.

Sanitary District Manager Dana Trompke said Bell did not submit nominating paperwork to be on the ballot before the deadline in July. The deadline has also passed to file as a write-in candidate.

That makes Director Gregg Dudash the only candidate for the November election, prompting the district to ask Maricopa County to cancel the election.
