Savage: Unwarranted attacks on Republican politicians

Democrats are ramping up their politics of personal destruction rather than address issues. Every week there are letters critical of Republican Town Council members and/or candidates.

Joe Arpaio is viciously attacked in three letters. The first did not like Mr. Arpaio's candidate photo because it wasn't a "smiley face," thereby prompting an ensuing character assassination. Another fantasizes that Mr. Arpaio really wants to be county sheriff again, not mayor of Fountain Hills. The author further speculates that his real motive for running is to retain control over his campaign war chest. We can guess where this accusatory salvo could be headed.

The vitriol of these two writers against a man who kept Maricopa County safe for 24 years as sheriff is beyond the pale. The fact that he lost an election to a Soros-backed challenger is forgotten.

Another writer is critical of Councilwoman Hannah Toth for her working with Turning Point Action in regard to Arizona election fraud. Obviously, this writer believes that there was no election fraud in Maricopa County in 2020 and 2022, and anyone who does should be punished – and Ms. Toth should resign her seat.

Complimentary letters are reserved for Town Democrats, Mayor Dickey and Councilwoman McMahon, who have done wonderous work in office, of course, while the Republicans have done nothing.

There is little hope that Democrats will face up to the disaster that their election fraud hero, Joe Biden, has brought to our Republic. We could begin with the illegal immigration of millions of destitute people from third-world counties who are demanding more and more freebies. We could go from there to many other failures that seem to be intentional. Democrats refuse to acknowledge these failures and therefore need to be removed from government so that our recovery may begin.
