Saguaro Boulevard is the main entrance to Fountain Hills and, in many cases, provides the first impression of our town to the many visitors to our community.
If you travel Saguaro Boulevard on a regular basis, you will have noticed the deterioration of this major collector road which is 40 years old. The recent emergency repairs were nothing but “skin patch” repairs and will not last long. In order to do the repairs to current specifications, it is necessary to remove 10 inches of material and rebuild the road.
Keeping Fountain Hills attractive to potential new residents helps keep our property values high. Keeping our roads in good shape also contributes to our public safety and personal comfort.

The Fountain Hills Town Council voted unanimously to put an $8.2 million bond issue on the November ballot. I am 100 percent in support of this bond issue to rebuild Saguaro Boulevard. This will be an all-mail ballot, which you should receive around Oct. 12. Please vote yes and help us save Saguaro Boulevard.
