At a recent program hosted by the Town of Fountain Hills in its regular Cares series of programs, residents were given advice on recognizing, avoiding and how to react to potential scams that come their way.
Representatives of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the FBI and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office were present to talk with residents, and there was a voluminous amount of information presented. Desiree Quintana, Community Outreach Coordinator with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office spoke in detail on a number of potential frauds for which people should be on alert.
