Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Wednesday, July 16, through Wednesday, July 23.

Wednesday, July 16

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro where it was reported that an unknown subject posed as a representative of a band to defraud the victim out of approximately $10,000 over the phone.

Scams, assaults and ‘Elon Musk’ top MCSO calls in Fountain Hills

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Wednesday, July 16, through Wednesday, July 23.

Wednesday, July 16

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Calle Del Oro where it was reported that an unknown subject posed as a representative of a band to defraud the victim out of approximately $10,000 over the phone.

Thursday, July 17

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Oro Grande where it was reported that an unknown subject posing as a broker defrauded the victim out of approximately $400,000 in an online cryptocurrency scam.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Paul Nordin Pkwy where it was reported that an unknown subject assaulted a resident at an assisted living facility.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject entered a closed business and caused damage to property.

*Deputies responded to the corner of Golden Eagle and Palisades boulevards where it was reported that two drivers were involved in a road rage incident.

Friday, July 18

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of La Montana Drive where it was reported that a subject assaulted the complainant after a verbal altercation.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject was illegally dumping trash in a dumpster belonging to a business.

Saturday, July 19

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Zapata Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject posing as Elon Musk defrauded the victim out of approximately $13,000 by a fraudulent scheme.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Hampsted Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject stole a delivered package from the front entry of a residence.

Sunday, July 20

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole items from inside while the vehicle was parked at a residence.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where National Forest Service officers contacted a subject with a warrant. The forest service turned the subject over to deputies and the subject was booked into jail on the warrant.

Monday, July 21

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of La Montana Drive where it was reported that a subject was making verbal threats to a neighbor.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Falcon Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject stole diesel fuel from multiple commercial vehicles while they were parked at a commercial storage facility.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject videotaped a female victim while she was in the changing room at a business.

Tuesday, July 22

*Deputies responded to the corner of Saguaro and Fountain Hills boulevards where a traffic collision was reported after a vehicle struck a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive where a violation of a court order was reported.

Wednesday, July 23

*Deputies responded to the corner of Shea Blvd. and Technology Drive where a vehicle was stopped for speed (64 in a 45). A records check revealed the driver had an active warrant. The driver was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.

*Deputies responded to the corner of Fountain Hills Blvd. and Edgeworth Drive where a vehicle was stopped for speeding (54 in a 35). A records check revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Fire Rock Country Club Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject had damaged the kitchen cabinet of a resident.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Zane Grey Ln. where a violation of a court order was reported.
