School Board elects officers, kicks off 2014 Wednesday night
The first Fountain Hills Unified School District governing board meeting of 2014 will primarily consist of housekeeping items, beginning with the election of officers for the New Year.
Once the governing board has elected a president and VP, several extracurricular trips will be brought to the table for consideration, including a pair of robotics trips to California for the Research Club, as well as a trip to the state convention for STUGO.
The board will also peruse its current self-evaluation guidelines and liaison positions for 2014 before voting on a handful of items.

Along with possible passage of gifted education scope and sequence criteria, the board will consider approval of an inter- governmental agreement with the Town of Fountain Hills (an annual item), as well as the possible approval of the high school Language Arts Essential Skills (A&B) course for credit.
Tonight’s meeting is open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the District Learning Center.
