School Board meets Monday evening

The Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board will hold its second meeting of February at a special day and time, this coming Monday, Feb. 24, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Still hosted out of the District Learning Center, a Feb. 26 meeting would have conflicted with pre-scheduled school events. The meeting is expected to be a light one, beginning with a consent agenda consisting of six policy second reads.

A couple of high school trips will be considered during the information/discussion portion of the night’s meeting with an intergovernmental agreement with North Valley Educational Consortium popping up as an action item. Also being considered are assistant principals’ and directors’ contract renewals. The board will either opt to offer contract renewals for various district administrative positions or decide to postpone offering said contracts until further information on the upcoming budget can be provided.
