The Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board will meet a bit early this week, with members gathering at 5:30 p.m. for an executive session to discuss a possible contract renewal for Superintendent Dr. Patrick Sweeney. A vote on the matter will follow at a later meeting.
While the executive session is held behind closed doors, the public meeting is expected to kick off at its regular time, beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Feb. 8, in the District Learning Center.
Following a presentation from the Fountain Hills Pickleball Club, the Governing Board will discuss intergovernmental agreements between FHUSD and both EVIT and Beyond Textbooks. The former is an annual agreement between the district and EVIT concerning courses offered by EVIT and local student participation, while the latter is for use of programs and services intended to enhance educational offering at FHUSD.
