School Board meets Wednesday

The Fountain Hills Unified School District governing board will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Aug. 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the District Learning Center.

The board will consider approval of eight policy revisions, as well as discuss a collection of extracurricular trips including a seventh grade trek to Astro Camp, a middle school trip to Washington D.C. in April, a cross country trip to Costa Mesa, Calif., and an Art Club trip to Ireland in October.

A sole item will make up the evening's action agenda, the possible approval of district goals. These goals were established by Superintendent Patrick Sweeney following a board retreat earlier in the month, in which members discussed strengths, weaknesses and the direction of FHUSD.
