A couple of big items make up the bulk of tonight’s FHUSD Governing Board agenda, including a vote on the bond resolution and administrative contract renewals for the 2015-16 academic year.
In recent meetings, the Board has discussed the possible sale of $4 million in bonds, the second half of a bond package approved by voters back in 2013.
The first half of the bond package was sold around this time in 2014 and, with possible passage at tonight’s meeting, the second half could provide additional funding for the local district including transportation needs, site maintenance and upkeep, etc.

Also being considered at tonight’s meeting is potential administrative contract renewals. These contracts must be offered by the end of March in order to establish leadership before moving on to classified/certified contract decisions.
Otherwise, tonight’s meeting is shaping up to be a light one. The board will discuss request for proposals (RFP) for food service and auditing services, as well as a pair of extracurricular trips including a Vex Robotics competition in Kentucky this April and a 20th Century Military Class trip to Tucson this spring.
Tonight’s meeting is open to the public and will be hosted out of the District Learning Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
