An update on the auditor general’s report and a discussion concerning assistant principal and director contract renewals will be headlining items at tonight’s School Board meeting, along with possible passage of a bond resolution.

Executive Director of Business and Finance Lisa Martinez will provide the update on the auditor general report early on in tonight’s meeting, set to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the District Learning Center.

Along with seven policy first reads, the board will also discuss the renewal of assistant principal and director contracts.

Policy items range from drug and alcohol use by students to expulsion of students, evaluation of superintendent and reporting child abuse/child protection. Being discussion items, no action will be taken concerning the policy first reads or contracts.

Finally, the board is scheduled to consider a bond resolution at this evening’s meeting. The resolution discussed in January calls for the sale of $4 million of the voter-approved $8 million in bonds from this past November’s election.

The resolution was a work in progress at that time, however, and may contain different wording or figures when the board considers it tonight.
