David Guo is making a difference at an early age through art.
The Fountain Hills resident and junior at BASIS Scottsdale was one of the 18 student recipients of the Junior Achievement (JA) 18 under 18 award on Thursday, April 18. The seventh annual JA 18 under 18 award puts the spotlight on the best and brightest Arizona has to offer.
Guo created the nonprofit organization called Project HeART in May 2023, to promote emotional well-being through art. He gives art therapy classes at the Fountain View Village in Fountain Hills, and he’s worked with the Scottsdale public libraries to raise art and school supplies for Scottsdale schools.
