Scottsdale’s Barrett-Jackson takes automobilia to the next level

Private collections lure nostalgic buyers

As collectible cars cross the auction block at Barrett-Jackson, many visitors to the car show come for something other than the award-winning vehicles.

From rare porcelain signage, spark plug display boxes, gumball machines and vintage popcorn makers, Barrett-Jackson’s automobilia team seeks to tell the story of roadside Americana and the American automobile.

This year, a total of 1,265 items will cross the auction stage with no reserve, meaning items will be sold regardless of the price tag.
