The new majority on the Town Council is doing exactly what they were elected to do.
They have begun a careful scrutiny of the budget and expenditures, as they promised when running for office. They are stopping the irresponsible spending, putting the brakes on unwanted practices, be they inappropriate development schemes that are not recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission or wasting money on studies that never come to fruition.
I for one appreciate what the new councilmembers are doing and look forward to more of the same.
