The Town Council has approved a public art sculpture donation for Fountain Park.
The sculpture, entitled “Spirit of the Saguaro” by artist Don Kenworthy, is to be installed at the Joe and Marge Brown Legacy Plaza to be constructed in the park. The $15,000 piece is being donated by the Brown Family Trust.
The sculpture will be stainless steel and about 7.5-feet tall and depicts the living desert supported by the saguaro including birds and flowers.
